Landless

Landless are Ruth Clinton, Meabh Meir, Sinead Lynch and Lily Power. They sing unaccompanied traditional songs from Irish, Scottish, English and American traditions in close four-part harmony. Their repertoire features songs of love, death and lamentation, as well as work songs, shape-note hymns and more recently penned folk songs. Landless have performed in a variety of settings, both in Ireland and abroad, and are closely involved with traditional singing sessions in Dublin and Belfast.

We first brought Landless to the festival in 2017, having heard 2 members in a singing session after the BBC Folk Awards in Belfast, and being blown away by the power and beauty of their voices. You loved them so much we asked them back in 2018. Now joining us for a third time, having produced an impressive 5 babies between them since their last visit, we're really chuffed that they're making the trip across to us! So are you, judging by your responses. We can't wait to hear their etherial voices in the rich atmosphere of St Hilda's church.
