Eating &
Drinking

Around the Historic Quay

There are great food and drink options right on site at the NMRN during the day. You’ll find hot meals and light bites and real ales on offer in the Quayside Cafe. There is a real ale bar on the quayside too.

Next door, the Jackson’s Wharf serves great drinks, real ales and hot food throughout the day, and does evening meals and Sunday lunches. Portofino, just up the stairs, does sit-down meals, pizzas and Sunday lunches - the dining room has a pretty view of the Trincomalee. Hartlepool Marina has a real variety of options from sit-down meals to food on the run. There are also many fast food options in the surrounding area.

On the Headland

Sit-down options are more limited, but The Duke of Cleveland serves great food, including Sunday lunches. Be prepared though - it gets very busy!  The Fisherman’s Arms has bar snacks, including Farm Shop pies. The Fisherman’s Arms is holding a beer festival over the weekend.

As part of the free family festival this year, we're hoping to have some street food options outside the Borough Hall - you are welcome to bring your takeaway into the venue. We will be serving Farm Shop pies and hosting our real ale bar once again this year. The Borough Hall also has a fully stocked theatre bar.
