Daisy crump
Assistant director
Daisy grew up around festivals and folk music, and has been gaining events experience since working on the Artist Liaison team at Sidmouth in her teens. She has been a familiar face around Hartlepool Folk Festival since 2016, working on everything from venue management to social media to general trouble-shooting to keeping artists fed and watered - always with a smile. There's no one who's got to know the festival better in all its iterations.

Daisy started her career in corporate communications and events management. More recently she has worked with organisations such as MIND and the Scottish government, helping people with additional needs or experiencing social exclusion to access work, training and other opportunities. She is currently studying for an MEd in Adult Education, Community Development and Youth Work at the University of Glasgow.

As the festival develops its year-round profile and seeks to deepen its relationship with local communities, Daisy will be leading on community outreach and engagement, as well as taking on other areas of festival delivery. We're delighted to welcome her as a permanent member of the team.
