Kinnaris Quintet

kinnaris.webp

Renowned for having a style that is powerful, euphoric, cinematic, raw and highly emotive - Kinnaris Quintet have quickly become the must-see act on the live music scene. We saw them in 2024 at Celtic Connections, where they sell out concerts year in, year out. The floor of the Fruit Market was absolutely bouncing to the feet of a packed, joyful audience.

Expect to be utterly uplifted with driving harmonies, technically dazzling arrangements, and sheer joy in abundance. You’ll hear hints of traditional Scottish, Irish, Bluegrass, Classical, Scandinavian and Appalachian music.

The five pillars of the band are accomplished musicians in their own right. Fiona MacAskill (fiddle), Laura Wilkie (fiddle), Aileen (Reid) Gobbi (five-string fiddle), Laura-Beth Salter (mandolin) and Jenn Butterworth (guitar) collectively make Kinnaris Quintet. Their combined energy is a force to be reckoned with.
